Four arrested, Rs. 7,000 cash, four mobile phones, other equipment seized

Mysuru: The City Crime Branch (CCB) Police, on Dec. 18, raided a house on the 6th Cross, near Kurimandi Circle in Kesare 1st Stage and arrested four persons on charges of illegal betting on horses through mobile phones.

The raid was conducted after the CCB Police received a tip off that a few people were indulging in illegal betting on horse races being conducted at Mysore  Race Course.

Apart from arresting the four persons, the Police have seized Rs. 7,000 cash, four mobile phones and other equipment used for conducting illegal betting and a case has been registered at the jurisdictional Narasimharaja (NR) Police Station.

DCP (Crime and Traffic) S. Jahnavi and CCB ACP S.N. Sandesh Kumar guided CCB Sub-Inspector Maruthi Antharagatti and staff Ramaswamy, Raghavendra and Manjunath in the raid, nabbing and seizing operation.
