MUDA to address site allotment for achievers

December 26, 2024

Mysuru: Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) Commissioner A.N. Raghunandan announced that issues related to the allotment of sites for achievers in various fields, including sports, will be tabled at the next MUDA meeting.

In 2023, MUDA invited applications from 188 achievers for site allotment in Devanur Layout 3rd Stage. The applicants also paid the advance amount as required. However, even after 22 months, the sites have not been allotted, leaving many achievers waiting. Out of 488 applications received, 188 were found to be in order. Despite this, none of the deserving achievers have benefited from the initiative.

Speaking to SOM, Raghunandan admitted that he was unaware of the delay but assured that the matter would be prioritised in the upcoming MUDA meeting, where approval for the allotment process will be sought.
