Mysuru: Impressionz will present Art Karat Jewellery with its new collection ‘Tanjore,’ inspired by the ancient city of Thanjavoor, known for Tanjore Art, Chola Temples and Bharatanatyam — a South Indian collage of art and jewellery.

The exhibition will be held at Hotel Southern Star on Vinoba Road in city on Jan. 24 and 25 from 11 am to 8 pm.

Asha Kamal Modi, the designer behind Art Karat, has truly out done herself by creating a master collection that captures the essence of the Tanjore culture of south India. This collection will feature a mix of south Indian guttapusul necklaces, temple dance jewellery, Tanjore paintings studded in jewelled frames and is all about balance and proportion.

The designs are a beautiful mix of various workmanships from temple to kundan, pave to embossed gold, paachi to Hyderabadi pearls. This collection truly stands apart as a fabulous mix of                 Asha’s best works.

Most Art Karat designs are priced between Rs. 2,000 to Rs. 75,000 hence making it very affordable for jewellery and art lovers. The collection includes a beautiful range of necklaces, long earrings, bracelets, bajubandhs, tikas, rings and pins. More than 1,000 designs have been created for this exhibition.
