State-level Group Folk Song and Bhajan Competitions on Feb. 21

City based Maharatna Trust is organising a State-level Group Folk Song and Bhajan Competitions to commemorate its third anniversary on Feb. 21 from 9.30 am at Sri Nadabrahma Sangeetha Sabha  on JLB Road in city. College students, both men and women, who are above the age 16, are eligible to participate in the competitions. Singing duration is minimum 4 minutes (maximum 5 minutes). Contestants must bring their own equipment. There is no provision for Karaoke singing. A group should consist minimum of 5 and maximum of 8 members (with two accompaniments). All contestants will be given appreciation letters. Winners of first prize will be given Rs.5,000, second prize Rs.3,000 and third prize winners will be given Rs. 2,000.
