Virajpet, Feb. 9-  Lt. Col. (Retd.) Kuppanda M. Muthanna (86), a resident of Virajpet, Kodagu, passed away on Feb. 2 in Bengaluru.

He leaves behind his son K.M. Kalappa, daughter Seethamma, daughter-in-law Cauvery, grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.

Last rites were held at Virajpet on Feb. 3, according to  family sources.
