Sir,
This is in continuation of my previous letter on the same issue (SOM dated July 6). The street-lights on Ring Road from Columbia Asia Hospital to Narayana Hospital are still not working; they are dead.
Most importantly the bushes that have grown on the edges of the Ring Road and service road add to the darkness. The edges of the drainage should be painted with yellow and black paints so that the motorists can differentiate the edges on both right and left sides. Why don’t the authorities pass through this mentioned stretch and observe the difficulties for themselves.
The Police patrol vehicle is parked near Columbia Asia Circle while the other on Pushpashrama junction in the pitch darkness. It is also surprising that how can this be neglected by the City Corporation. Will the Assistant Commissioner concerned or the Ward Corporator immediately act on this and see that the lights are working full night?
Also bushes on the edges should be cleaned for free usage of Ring Road and service road. Instructions should be displayed not to park heavy trucks on Ring Road during night.
