220 Home Guards’ vacancies

Mysuru:  The Office of the District Commandant, Home Guards, Fire and Emergency Services Department in Saraswathipuram, Mysuru, has invited applications from physically fit volunteers to fill 220 vacant Home Guard posts in its units across Mysuru, Nanjangud, Dodda Kavalande, T. Narasipur, H.D. Kote, Handpost, Saragur, K.R. Nagar, Hunsur, and Periyapatna.

Eligible candidates must be citizens of Mysuru, aged between 19 and 50 years, and should have passed SSLC. They must also provide authenticated documents related to their address, educational qualifications, and age (SSLC marks card or Transfer Certificate – TC).

The application form can be obtained free of cost from the office upon producing documents related to identity, educational qualifications, age, and residential address.

The appointment is purely based on eligibility, and the Home Guard post is voluntary, not permanent. Duty allowance will be paid according to the number of days worked, as per the rates fixed by the Government.

Applications will be distributed till Mar. 5, and the last date to submit duly filled applications is by 5.30 pm on Mar. 5. The selection process, including the interview, will be held on Mar. 7 at 10 am at the District Armed Reserve (DAR) Police Ground. Applications submitted after the deadline will not be considered.

The following documents should be attached to application: Medical certificate, Aadhaar card, SSLC marks card and TC, domicile certificate, 3 recent passport-size photos, postcard and Voter ID, PAN Card, bank passbook and ration card.
