As part of International Women’s Day, the District Kannada Sahitya Parishat will be organising ‘Sahitya-Samskruti Sammilana,’ a Literary and Cultural Meet, at Ramagovinda Rangabhavana in Ramakrishnanagar at 10 am on March 10.  University of Mysore Registrar M.K. Savitha will inaugurate the programme while former Principal Dr. S. Sudha Ramesh will preside.

 District Kannada Sahitya Parishat President Maddikere Gopal will deliver the keynote address.  Six senior women achievers from different fields — Theatre personality and former Scientist Srimathi Hariprasad,  social worker Peeleti Anasuyamma, Deaf children teacher Parimala Murthy,  former Director of Akashvani, Mysore Dr. M.S. Vijaya Haran, Sumathi Subramanya (Education and Spiritual)  and writer B.K. Meenakshi (literature) — will be conferred with ‘Mahila Sadhaki-2025’ (Woman Achiever) award.
