Applications have been invited under Atma Yojana from eligible farmers for Best State, District and Taluk-level Farmer awards in Agriculture, Horticulture and Animal Husbandry. Those who have excelled in agriculture, horticulture, animal husbandry, fisheries, sericulture and forestry are eligible to apply for the awards.

While ten selected farmers will be conferred with State-level Krishi Pandit/ Shreshta Krishika awards which include a purse of Rs. 50,000; Ten farmers will get District-level Best Farmer awards which carries a purse of Rs. 25,000 and five farmers will be awarded Best Taluk-level Farmer awards with a cash prize of Rs. 10,000, as per the Committee formed to select deserving farmers. Eligible farmers including women can obtain applications from their respective Taluk Assistant Directors of Agriculture Department and submit the duly filled in applications to the same office before April 21.
