Boy dies as concrete window frame falls

Mysuru: A six-year-old boy died after a heavy concrete window frame fell on him at his grandfather’s house in Sirsi, Uttara Kannada.

The deceased boy is Aryan S. Gowda, son of Srikant Gowda and Kavya couple, residents of Hinkal in city.

Srikant’s parents reside in Sirsi and sell construction materials. Following summer holidays, Srikant, along with his wife and two sons, had gone to Sirsi. On Friday afternoon, a heavy concrete window frame fell on Aryan and the family members immediately lifted the window frame, but Aryan had died by then.

Last rites were held at Srikant’s native place Ragimuddanahalli in Pandavapura taluk on Saturday.
