Champaka Educational and Cultural Trust, Mysuru, in continuation with the ambitious initiative to conduct monthly cultural events since June 2023 to showcase Indian performing arts under the banner “Champaka Rashtreeya Kalaa Utsava,” is celebrating the ‘Vaishaakha’ edition in this series on Vaishakha Bahula Panchami tomorrow (May17) at 5 pm at Champaka Sabhangana, Champaka Academy premises in Ramakrishnanagar, showcasing Bharatanatyam performances by accomplished artistes.

The evening will start with a performance by Dr. Nagalakshmi Nagarajan, Founder of Champaka Academy, as a tribute to Srimad Adi Shankaracharya, dancing for his compositions.

Performances by disciples of Guru Vidwan Sandesh Bhargav, Managing Trustee of Kalasandesha Pratishtana, a well-known institution of Mysuru will follow to enthrall the audience.

Vidushi Milan will be performing along with her disciples next trained at her institution Sharada Nāṭya Kuteera, Bengaluru.

Karuna Venkatraman, President of CFTRI Layout Residents Welfare Association, Mysuru, will be the chief guest for the event.
