I am writing to SOM after two previous letters, dated 22.10.2024 and 29.4.2025, addressed to the Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) Commissioner, requesting the replacement of the old and clogged UGD pipeline on Shivaji Road, 11th Cross, N.R. Mohalla, have gone unanswered.

The existing UGD line is over 50 years old and is severely blocked at multiple points, leading to sewage water overflowing onto the road and getting stagnant in several areas, thereby posing serious health hazards to residents.

Despite raising this issue seven months ago and again last month, no action has been taken to replace the old pipelines with larger ones to accommodate current needs.

I strongly urge the officials concerned at the MCC to  immediately take up the replacement work to prevent further inconvenience and protect the health and well-being of the tax-paying residents.
