Mysuru: Teacher and poet T. Satish Javaregowda of the Government Senior Primary School at Mellahalli in the taluk has been selected for ‘Shikshana Ratna Prasasthi’ (Education Gem Award) jointly presented by Atmasri Kannada Samskrutika Pratisthana and Kannadambe Samajaika Mattu Samskrutika Samsthe, said Pratisthana President Dr. Gunavanta Manju.

Satish has been actively involved in the field of education — both in curriculum and co-curricular learning. He is also doing significant work in the fields of literature and serving as the President of Spandana Samskrutika Parishat in Mysuru. Considering his valuable service in the field of education, he has been selected for ‘Shikshana Ratna Prasasthi.’

The award will be presented to him by Nadoja Dr. Mallepuram G. Venkatesh, retired Vice-Chancellor of Karnataka Sanskrit University, during the ‘Mysuru Samskrutika Utsava’ to be held on May 18 at 10 am at the District Kannada Sahitya Parishat Bhavan in city. Parishat  President Maddikere Gopal will preside. Dr. P. Jayachandra Raju, Chairman and Founder of Global Education Trust – Daksha College, Mysuru, will inaugurate.
