Mysuru: The MIT First Grade College, under the aegis of the Maharaja Education Trust (MET), hosted its Annual Day and Farewell Celebration for the academic year 2024-25 with vibrant enthusiasm and ceremonial elegance at Kalamandira.
The event was inaugurated by Esther Prasanna Bernard, an acclaimed international skater, Founder-President of Esther Roller Skating Club (ERSC), Bengaluru and recipient of the prestigious ‘Mrs. India Pride of Nation Award.’
In her address, Bernard inspired the students with her journey of perseverance, excellence and service. Dr. B.G. Naresh Kumar, Chairman of MET, presided. Eminent Academicians and Trustees, including Dr. G. Hemantha Kumar, former Vice-Chancellor, University of Mysore and Vice-President of MET; Dr. K. Mantelingu, Director of CDC, University of Mysore, Dr. Y.T. Krishne Gowda, Secretary of MET and Dr. H.K. Chethan, Joint Secretary of MET, were present.
Dr. Chandrajit Mohan, Principal of MIT First Grade College, presented the Annual Report, highlighting the institution’s academic achievements, extracurricular successes and community outreach over the past year.
Prizes were distributed to students for academic excellence, leadership and co-curricular accomplishments. The event culminated with a series of cultural performances.
