Mysuru city is all set to host a day-long wrestling championship tomorrow (June 15). Wresting bouts will begin from 3 pm at D. Devaraja Urs Multi-purpose Stadium at Dasara Exhibition Grounds.  Addressing a press meet at Pathrakartara Bhavan yesterday, Prakruti Foundation President Kirankumar said the Foundation aims to preserve and promote this ancient sport. More than 40 pairs of men and women wrestlers from Karnataka and others States will participate. MP Yaduveer Wadiyar will present ‘Wadiyar Cup’ to winners. There is no entry fees and wrestling lovers may attend in large numbers and encourage the participants, he said. Wrestlers Amrut Purohit, Ravi Bannur, Siddaraju, Foundation’s Ravishankar and Dr. Bettathimmegowda were present.
