MCC cautions food sellers against unauthorised persons

June 15, 2025

Mysuru: Following complaints that unauthorised persons are calling food sellers claiming that they will get Registration/License of FSSAI (Food Safety and Standards Authority of India) done for 5 years, the FSSAI authorities have cautioned  food sellers coming under MCC jurisdiction against such unauthorised persons. They have warned the food sellers against becoming victims of fraudsters, who reportedly claim that they will get the licence for 5 years and even send Whatsapp messages on issuance or renewal of license. In a press release, the FSSAI authorities said that the food sellers can themselves get their license or renew their license through the official website- www.foscos.fssai.gov.in.

Neither the FSSAI nor the MCC office will call the food sellers on issuance or renewal of license. Also, those who have got fake license or renewal through Whattsapp messages, can check their license by logging on to the website: www.foscos.fssai.gov.in.
