Cyber fraud: Man loses Rs. 11 lakh

Mysuru: An incident of a person losing Rs. 11 lakh to cyber fraud has been reported in city.

According to the Police, the said person, a resident of Kanakagiri in city and working as an accountant, who received a message on Telegram application, downloaded the NMM App. and with an aim to make profit,  invested Rs. 12.21 lakh through his credit card. Fraudsters, who had promised 10 percent profit, initially transferred Rs. 1.20 lakh to his account. Later, despite several attempts, they could not be contacted. With no other option, the person filed a complaint at  CEN Police Station.
