Two arrested for security breach at KRS Dam; released on Station Bail

Srirangapatna: Krishna Raja Sagar (KRS) Police have arrested two of the three persons for illegally entering the restricted zone at KRS Dam and making selfi videos for reels.

Those arrested are Jeevan and Murthy of Chikkade village in Pandavapura taluk.

Jeevan and Murthy, along with another person had entered the restricted zone and had made a video near the crest gates of the Dam besides giving details of the Dam and those with them. The video was uploaded to a social media platform which had gone viral.

Following reports of the viral video on social media, print and electronic media, Cauvery Neeravari Nigam Limited (CNNL) Assistant Executive Engineer Farooq Abu lodged a complaint at KRS Police Station.

KRS Police, who registered a case, arrested Jeevan and Murthy at Chikkade village and the duo were later released on Station Bail.
