Mysuru: Senior BJP leader and Leader of Opposition in the State Assembly R. Ashoka has called All India Congress Committee (AICC) President Mallikarjuna Kharge as ‘accidental AICC President’ mocking his statement that nobody should speak about change of Chief Minister in the State and as it is not easy to understand the thought process of the High Command.
“It appears that the Congress has given another ‘accidental leader’ to the nation. The first one was Dr. Manmohan Singh. Though he was the Prime Minister of India, he had no power. Another is Mallikarjuna Kharge, the present AICC President. Kharge has said that he doesn’t know what is in the mind of Congress High Command,” said Ashoka and questioned Kharge, “if he is not the Party High Command despite being AICC President, then who else it could be and wondered whether it is Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi or any other invisible committee.”
Ashoka said, AICC President is only for namesake in the Congress party and all decisions are taken at closed door meeting at New Delhi’s Janpath Road, the official residence of Sonia Gandhi.
