July 2, 2025

Mysore/Mysuru: As part of the TiE Mysuru Founder Series, a thought-provoking fireside chat was held at a private hotel recently, bringing together two dynamic second-generation entrepreneurs for a candid conversation on leadership, legacy and navigating the evolving landscape of family-run businesses.

The featured speakers were Sumukh Narendra, Director of Vinyas Innovative Technologies and M. Ashwin Dange, Business Head of GRS Fantasy Park and Director of Baliga Investments Pvt. Ltd.

The session was moderated by Dr. M. Dharma Prasad, CEO and Chief Scientist of Prosetta Bioconformatics Pvt. Ltd. and Founder-Director of Funpluslearn Solutions.

The dialogue explored the personal and professional challenges of carrying forward business legacies while adapting to a rapidly changing world. Sumukh reflected on the importance of values and purpose-driven leadership, while Ashwin shared insights into steering business through industry shifts, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic and reviving operations with innovation and energy.

Both entrepreneurs offered an honest and engaging look into the emotional aspects of business leadership, from balancing personal identity with inherited responsibility to embracing uncertainty with resilience and clarity.

Attendees praised the session for its authenticity and depth, highlighting that successful business growth today requires not just strategic thinking but also emotional intelligence, self-awareness and a long-term vision grounded in purpose.

The event opened with welcoming remarks by Bhaskar Kalale, President of TiE Mysuru and concluded with a vote of thanks by Prof. G.S. Kishan, Student Welfare Officer at MIT Mysore and Associate Member of TiE Mysuru, who also anchored the session with charm and clarity. A lively Q&A session and networking high tea brought the evening to a close on an inspiring note.
