14 unidentified bodies found in 4 months

Mysuru Railway Police seek help in tracing the kin of deceased persons

Mysore/Mysuru: As many as 14 unidentified bodies including that of one woman, were found in a span of four months from March 10, 2025 in Mysuru Railway Police Station limits.

In a press release, Railway Police have stated that, on March 10, body of a 45-year-old person was found in stationary Basava Express train at Platform 4 in Mysuru Railway Station. On March 31, a 40-year-old person was found dead due to illness at the Railway Station. On Apr. 11, a 45-year-old was killed when he was run over by a train at Byadarahalli. A 55-year-old person was found dead, after being run over by a train near Akki Hebbal Railway Station on Apr. 26.

Likewise, on March 26, a 75-year-old man had suffered accidental injuries at K.R. Nagar Railway Station. He had been admitted for treatment at K.R. Hospital in the city, where he succumbed later. On Apr. 30, a 50-year-old person died after being mowed down by a train near Belagola. On May 2, a 35-year-old died in a similar fashion at Pandavapura Station.

A 65-year-old person who had collapsed at Platform 3 at Mysuru Railway Station on Apr. 26 died later at a hospital on May 3. Similarly, a 50-year-old person was found dead near Ashokapuram Rly. Station on May 12. A 45-year-old woman was run over by a train near Naganahalli on May 15.

On May 29, a 50-year-old person was found dead after being run over by a train near Kadakola Rly. Station. On June 4, a 60-year-old person died after coming under a train near Hosa Agrahara. A 45-year-old person fatally slipped from a train at Mandya Rly. Station. A 50-year-old person was found dead at Platform 1 of Kavalande Station.
