Residents are facing serious issues concerning the street lighting in the areas surrounding Lingambudhi Lake.

For the past several months, the streetlights in this region have either not been switched on in the evenings or function very erratically. On some days, they are switched on, while on others, the entire stretch remains in complete darkness.

This inconsistency is creating a hazardous environment for residents, especially women and children, who often need to use the road during early evenings or after dark.

The lack of proper street lighting significantly increases the risk of accidents and raises serious safety concerns.

Additionally, this area is close to the Lake, where wild animal crossings have been reported, making the situation even more dangerous in low-visibility conditions.

We request urgent intervention by the authorities concerned to resolve this issue by ensuring proper and consistent functioning of streetlights in this area. Doing so will greatly enhance safety and offer peace of mind to everyone in the community.
