Driver seriously injured as auto topples

Mysore/Mysuru: An autorickshaw driver sustained serious injuries when a KSRTC bus hit the auto toppling it on Mysuru-Hunsur Road on July 18.

The injured auto driver is 40-year-old A. Sharath, a resident of Hinkal in city.

On July 18 afternoon, Sharath was proceeding near Premier Studio (now defunct) on Hunsur Road, when the KSRTC bus (KA-09-AA-8263) which was proceeding in front of the auto suddenly took a left turn resulting in the bus brushing against the auto which toppled.

Auto driver Sharath, who sustained serious injuries, was immediately rushed to a private hospital, where he was treated and later shifted to Victoria Hospital in Bengaluru for further treatment.

V.V. Puram Traffic Police have registered a case.
