Two held for transporting red sanders

The City Crime Branch (CCB) Police on Saturday evening have arrested two persons on charges of illegally transporting pieces of red sanders in city and have seized 10 pieces from them.

The arrested persons have been identified as 28-year-old Anil Kumar and 35-year-old Venugopal, both residents of Srirangapatna taluk in Mandya district.

The accused, who were arrested by CCB Inspector K.C. Prakash and staff near Highway Circle have been remanded to judicial custody.

Mandi Police have registered a case in this regard.
