Improper driving by motorists

July 26, 2025

Sir,

Some two-wheeler riders and KSRTC (Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation) bus drivers, lacking proper road discipline and civic sense, often drive in the middle of the road.

This behaviour makes it difficult and dangerous for other motorists to overtake them.

When vehicles occupy the centre lane unnecessarily, overtaking from either side becomes risky, leading to slower traffic flow — especially on busy roads.

As per existing traffic rules and safety guidelines, two-wheelers are required to keep to the left side of the road.

Following this rule not only ensures smoother traffic movement but also significantly improves safety for all road users.

Unfortunately, the number of traffic rule violators continues to outnumber those who follow the rules.
