Mysore/Mysuru: Dr. G. Rama Rathan (76), former Registrar (Evaluation), Karnataka State Open University (KSOU) and Head of the Department of History, passed away this morning following brief illness at his residence in Vijayanagar 2nd Stage, Mysuru.

He leaves behind his wife, one son, one daughter, daughter-in-law, grand-children and a host of relatives and friends.

Last rites will be held at Mukthidhama in Vijayanagar 4th Stage at 5.30 pm today, according to family sources.
