Mahouts, Kavadis get their hair trimmed

Mysuru: As part of their annual ritual, the mahouts, kavadis and their children were given a free haircut by the members of Karnataka Rajya Savitha Samaja at the Palace premises here this morning.

The mahouts, kavadis and their children, who spend most of their time in the forest and in the midst of elephants, do not get the time to take care of their needs as their lives are dedicated to take good of care of the elephants. In an effort to give them a makeover, the Savitha Samaja members gave them a free haircut. Samaja District President    Nagaraju, Hunsur Savitha    Samaja President Gowrish,  Bilikere Savitha Samaja   members and others  were present.
