Bengaluru: Promising Kannada film actor Santhosh Balaraj (34) died of brief illness here this morning.

Santhosh, who had acted in films like Kariya-2, Ganapa, Kempa and other movies, was awaiting his next release- Sathyam. He was suffering from jaundice and was undergoing treatment at Sagar Apollo Hospital, at Kumaraswamy layout in the city.

He was the son of film producer late Balaraj Anekal, who had produced Darshan’s runaway hit film-Kariya.

Santhosh is survived by his mother and sister.
