Mysuru: The Silver Jubilee celebrations of Mysore Beauticians Welfare Association (MBWA) was held at a private hotel near KSRTC sub-urban bus stand on Bengaluru-Nilgiri Road here recently.
Speaking as the chief guest on the occasion, Dr. M.S. Navyashree, Medical Director and Chief Fertility Specialist, Momtree IVF and Genetics, Mysuru, said that Gynaecologists and Beauticians are a class meant for serving women. While Gynaecologists take care of the health of women, Beauticians take care of external beauty of women, she said.
Pointing out that it is a landmark achievement of the Association for having completed 25 successful years, Dr. Navyashree stressed on the need for unity and support among women for achieving big in any field.
Emphasising the importance of self care, she said physical and mental health are key for achieving success and fame in life.
Maintaining that women carry out tasks in roles as a girl child, mother, wife, grandmother, mother-in-law etc., with responsibility, she underlined the role of women in household works.
Pointing out that women have been largely successful both as a working woman and a home-maker, she maintained that women should be fit and strong enough to take on any roles in their profession, for which they should take care of themselves diligently.
T.A. Vasantha Kumari, President of WISE (Women In Small Enterprises), ladies wing of Mysore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI), said that the MCCI is always willing to promote women entrepreneurship.
Highlighting the efforts of MCCI for empowerment of women through financial support and entrepreneurship promotion for establishment of small-scale industries, Kumari underscored the importance of women empowerment in the society.
She lauded the MBWA for supporting the welfare and cause of Beauticians.
