Contour Road – Adi Pampa junction is a danger zone

August 18, 2025

Sir,

The junction of Contour Road and Adi Pampa Road, although narrow, witnesses heavy traffic every day. A little bit of engineering and redesign could vastly improve the driving experience and ease congestion on this stretch.

Adding to the problem are large stones placed on either side of the road, posing extreme danger to motorists. On several occasions, vehicles have brushed against these stones while negotiating turns.

Shockingly, some house owners have developed the peculiar habit of placing stones on footpaths to mark their ‘ownership.’ This not only encroaches upon pedestrian space but also endangers both walkers and motorists.

Authorities must act swiftly to remove these obstructions and streamline the junction, ensuring safety and smooth movement for all road users.
