Mysuru, Sept. 7 (RK&BCT)- Gold Cards and tickets for the much-awaited Dasara Jumboo Savari procession and Torchlight Parade went on sale from 3 pm yesterday.
Mysuru DC and Dasara Special Officer G. Lakshmikanth Reddy announced that they are now available for purchase through the official website

A ticket for the Jumboo Savari procession inside Mysore Palace is priced at Rs. 3,500, amounting to Rs. 3,748 after adding a booking fee of Rs. 210 and GST of Rs. 37.80.
Similarly, a ticket for the Torchlight Parade is priced at Rs. 1,500, with the total coming to Rs. 1,616 after adding a booking fee of Rs. 98 and GST of Rs. 17.56.
In addition to entry for the Jumboo Savari, the Gold Card provides one-time access for a single individual to the Mysore Palace, Sri Chamundeshwari Devi Temple atop Chamundi Hill, the Mysuru Zoo, the Torchlight Parade (Oct. 2) at Bannimantap Parade Grounds and the Drone Show (Sept. 28 or Sept. 29).
The biggest highlight for Gold Card holders is the prime seating in the gallery directly facing the Mysore Palace, offering an excellent view of the grand Jumboo Savari procession.
Number of Gold Cards
Speaking to Star of Mysore this morning, Deputy Commissioner Lakshmikanth Reddy clarified that the District Administration has not set a cap on the total number of Gold Cards and tickets available for purchase. “People can buy any number of tickets and Gold Cards. There is no limit. Sales will continue until Oct. 1,” he said.
To prevent bulk purchases for black-market resale, the Administration has introduced OTP and e-mail-based authentication for all purchases. “This measure has proven effective, ensuring a fair distribution and availability of tickets even days after sales begin. We have printed more tickets based on demand and are releasing them daily to avoid bulk buying,” the DC added.
The OTP-based system requires buyers to provide personal details, including their e-mail address, to ensure that genuine tourists have access to the events.
Rules for ticket holders
To redeem tickets or Gold Cards, holders must present a valid Government-issued ID proof. If someone else is redeeming it on their behalf, the Gold Card holder must provide an authorisation letter along with their own ID and the ID of the authorised person.
A special drone show exclusively for Gold Card members has been scheduled, with the date printed on the back of the card. Entry will be allowed only on the date mentioned. Once booked, tickets cannot be cancelled, exchanged or refunded under any circumstances.
