Mysuru: The day-long Mysuru Taluk Dasara Sports Meet-2025, jointly organised by the District Administration, Zilla Panchayat, Department of Youth Empowerment and Sports (DYES) and Karnataka Sports Authority was inaugurated by DYES Assistant Director Bhaskar Naik at Chamundi Vihar Stadium in city this morning.

Speaking after inaugurating the sports meet, Bhaskar Naik said that sportspersons who want to participate in sporting events must compulsorily e-register their names, failing which they will not be eligible to participate in the district-level sports meet.

Men’s Category: 100, 200, 400, 800, 1,500, 5,000 and 10,000 meters running race, high jump, throwball, triple jump, javelin throw, discus throw, 110 meters hurdles, 4×100 and 4×400 metres relay race were held. Women’s Category: 100, 200, 400, 800, 1,500 and 3,000 meters running race events were held along with throwball, triple jump, javelin throw, discus throw, 110 meters hurdles and 4×100 metres relay race.

Also, volleyball, football, kho-kho and kabaddi matches and Yoga competition was held.
