Mysuru: S.B. Basavaraja has been unanimously elected as Chairman of the Mysore Centre of the Association of Consulting Civil Engineers [ACCE (I) Mysore], for 2025 – 27.

Basavaraja graduated in Civil Engineering from Malnad College of Engineering, Hassan and obtained his Master’s in ‘Industrial Structural Engineering’ from SJCE, Mysuru. He taught at JSS Polytechnic for Women and retired as the Head of the Department of Architecture after serving the institution for 30 years.

A member of many professional institutions, he had served the Mysore Centre as Hon. Secretary from 2015 – 2017. He will take charge from the present Chairman Dr. S. Raviraj.

Eminent consulting civil engineer, currently serving as the Secretary General and President-Elect of ACCE (I), Rajendra Kalbavi from Mangaluru will install the new team on Sept. 10 at Hotel The Roost in Hinkal at 7 pm.

C.S. Srikanth and Dr. B.S. Keerthi Gowda will assume charge as Hon. Secretary and Hon. Treasurer.

Dr S. Raviraj and Dr G.P. Chandradhara are ex-officio members.  The co-opted members are Niranjana Simha, Ashwin Palegar, S. Shashiraj, D. Harish Kumar, T.S. Shashikiran and Dr. Y.M. Manjunath.

The advisory panel comprises Past Chairmen, Prof. C.N. Yadunandan, H.N. Vijayavittal, Dr. G.S. Suresh, B.R. Badarinath, S. Prakash and H.S. Deepak.
