Mysore/Mysuru:  As part of Dasara, Sri Rajeev Sneha Balaga in association with Vipra Mahila Sangama and Krishna  Calling Charitable Trust has jointly organised ‘Mane Mane Gombe (Doll) Contest’ from Sept. 22 to Oct. 2 in city. The juries will be visiting homes where dolls are arranged, between 11 am and 7 pm.

The theme: Arrangement of traditional Dasara dolls by decorating them during Navarathri.

The entry for the contest is free and those residing within Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) limits are eligible to take part in the contest.

Prizes for the winners will be given in the order of first prize – Rs. 25,000, second prize –  Rs. 15,000 and third prize – Rs. 10,000. Consolation prizes of Rs. 1,000 will be given to each of the 25 winners.

Dasara Chutuku Kavigoshti

Mysuru Jilla Chutuku Sahitya Parishat in association with Mysuru District Kannada Sahitya Parishat, Women’s Wing, will be organising Dasara Chutuku Kavigoshti on Sept. 21 at Kannada Sahitya Parishat Bhavan premises from 10.30 am. The event will be inaugurated Kannada Book Authority Chairman Manasa. Chutuku Yugacharya Dr. M.G.R. Urs will preside.

Prizes to the winners will be distributed by Chutuku Sahitya Parishat, Central Committee President Thontadarya. District Kannada Sahitya Parishat President Maddikere Gopal, Postal Department Senior Superintendent (retd.) K.
