Mysore/Mysuru: Vijayanagar Football Club (VFC) has qualified to represent Mysuru Division in the upcoming State-level Dasara Football Tournament to be  held in Mysuru.

The team has had a stellar run through the taluk, district and division levels. VFC began their winning journey at the taluk level, securing a 1-0 win against Vijayanagar Football Academy in the semi-finals and beating Ganesha Football Club in penalties 1(5)-1(4) in the finals.

At the district-level, VFC representing Mysuru taluk thrashed Periyapatna 8-1, got a walkover against K.R. Nagar, and beat Sargur in a tiebreaker 0(5)-0(4) in the finals.

In the division-level held in Hassan district, VFC representing Mysuru district got a walkover against Udupi, beat defending champions Madikeri in penalties 0(4)-0(2) in the semi-finals, and dominated Hassan 4-0 in the finals.

VFC recently won the Karnataka State Football Association (KSFA) C Division League in July 2025, earning promotion to B Division. The team is now geared up to represent Mysuru Division in the prestigious State-level Dasara Tournament which is going to be held in University grounds, Mysuru.
