The final round of cannon firing drill to acclimatise Dasara elephants and Mounted Police horses to the booming sounds of cannons was held successfully at the Dasara Exhibition parking lot, with all 14 Dasara elephants and 30 horses taking part, in the presence of Police and Forest Department personnel. None of the animals panicked when 21 shots were fired using 7 cannons. Meanwhile, Dasara elephant Dhananjaya will undergo weight carrying exercise on the Jumboo Savari route in a day or two.
