Mysore/Mysuru: Swami Vivekananda Youth Movement (SVYM) has organised Malgudi Heritage Trail, a Heritage and Literary Walk on Sept. 27 in city.

More than a conventional heritage walk, this trail is an exploration of art, memory and narrative, through three spaces across the city to recreate the world of late Writer R.K. Narayan.

The event will be inaugurated by ‘Master’ Manjunath, who had played the role of Swami in the TV serial ‘Malgudi Days’ at 12 noon on Sept 27 at Vivekananda Institute of Leadership Development (V-LEAD), KIADB Industrial Area, Hebbal.

The trail begins at V-LEAD, which has been transformed into a re-imagined Malgudi town. The trail will then move to R.K. Narayan’s house at Yadavagiri, where visitors can walk through the rooms of the late Writer.

The final stop of the trail will be at The Green Hotel, where the Malgudi Cafe becomes the setting for conversation, sharing and connection over a cup of coffee and viewing a few episodes of ‘Malgudi Days.’
