Dasara CM Cup Sports Meet-2025: Records continue to tumble on Day-2

Mysore/Mysuru: Athletes continued their dominance in track and field events creating five new meet records on Day-2 of Dasara CM Cup Sports Meet-2025 being organised at Chamundi Vihar Stadium in city yesterday.

In the women’s 100 mts hurdles, Bengaluru’s Shreya Rajesh set a new meet record by clocking 14.31 sec beating the previous record timing of 15.45 sec. In the same race, Mysuru’s R.G. Deekshitha and Akshata won silver and bronze medals respectively. In the 100 mts sprint, Benglauru’s Neole Anna Cornelio set a new meet record clocking 12.00 sec beating the previous record of 12.24 sec. She was followed by M. Mamata of Mysuru and Vaibhavi of Ballari in second and third places respectively.

Meanwhile, in the men’s 800 mts, Bengaluru Rural Division’s M.S. Harshith created a new meet record with a timing of 1:50 sec. He was followed by Benglauru Urban Divison’s S. Kamalakannan and H.V. Chinthan in second and third places respectively.

In the women’s 400 mts, Mysuru’s B. Shravani won the gold, followed by Rekha Basappa in second and Megha in third place. In the men’s 110 mts hurdles Labbaik  Nalband of Belagavi won the gold, followed by Rajan Avada Patil in second and Mysuru’s H.M. Harshith in third place.

In the women’s 3,000 mts, Bengaluru Rural’s Pranathi won the gold, Mysuru’s Pranamya won the silver and Bengaluru Rural’s Mahadevi won the bronze medal. In women’s shot put event, Bengaluru’s Niveditha won gold, M. Sanjana Reddy bagged silver and Mysuru’s B. Sushma won the bronze medal.

In the men’s shot put, Mysuru’s Prajwal M. Shetty won gold, Ganesh of Belagavi won silver and Ajay of Bengaluru won bronze. In the women’s long jump, Mysuru’s Sridevika Shetty of won gold and Aishwarya won silver, followed by G. Monica of Bengaluru with a bronze medal.
