Mysore/Mysuru: Dasara CM Cup State-level Cycle Polo Tournament witnessed high-octane action, where the Bagalkot team clinched the men’s title and Mysuru triumphed in the women’s category.
Held at the Gautham Hostel Grounds in Saraswathipuram, the tournament was organised in collaboration with the Karnataka Cycle Polo Association.
In the men’s final, Bagalkot delivered a commanding performance against Chamarajanagar, securing a 9-0 victory to lift the trophy. Chamarajanagar settled for runner-up position. The third-place match saw Mysuru defeat the Bengaluru Rural team 4-2.

The women’s final was equally thrilling, with Mysuru overpowering Bengaluru 5-2 to claim the title. Bengaluru finished runners-up, while Mandya got third place by defeating Belagavi 3-0.
Earlier, the tournament was inaugurated by N.R. Manjunath, Association President. Emphasising the growing popularity of cycle polo, he urged the State Government to extend support to the sport, which has earned international recognition.

Assistant Director of Youth Empowerment and Sports Bhaskar Nayak, international athlete S.M. Shanvi, University of Mysore PE Director Dr. Venkatesh, founder of Cycle Polo Association Arun Kumar H. Patil, Secretary Dr. Vijayalakshmi A. Patil, Joint Secretary Akshay A. Patil and Archana Joshi were present.
