Mysore/Mysuru: The Defence Career Club was inaugurated by Group Captain Abhinav Chaturvedi (Retd.), Founder & CEO of Alpha Lead Academy, and Anupama Pandit, Secretary of GSSS,  recently at GSSS  SSFGC, KRS Road, Mysuru.

R.K. Bharath, CEO & Member of GSSS, Mysuru, Dr. Shivakumar, Principal of GSSSIETW, Dr. T.S. Rakesh, Principal of GSSS SSFGC and Namratha Chaturvedi, spouse of Group Captain Abhinav Chaturvedi (Retd.) were present.

As part of the ceremony, a fully developed Group Testing Obstacle (GTO) ground and structured classrooms for defence training were also inaugurated, further strengthening the institution’s infrastructure for defence-oriented education.

On this occasion, an MoU was signed between GSSS Group of Institutions and Alpha Lead Academy to formalise the partnership and ensure long-term, structured training support for defence aspirants.

The Defence Career Club is the first-of-its-kind initiative in Mysuru district, dedicated to the youth of Mysuru, Mandya, Kodagu, Srirangapatna and Chamarajanagar, while also remaining open to aspirants across Karnataka who wish to join the Indian Army, Navy or Air Force as commissioned officers.

Speaking at the event, the dignitaries highlighted the patriotic vision behind this initiative — to revive the region’s proud legacy of producing India’s finest military leaders, including Field Marshal K. M. Cariappa and General K. S. Thimayya of Kodagu. The Defence Career Club seeks to rekindle this tradition and inspire a new generation to serve the nation with honour and distinction.
