Mysore/Mysuru: Government of Karnataka, District Administration and Zilla Panchayat, Department of Scheduled Castes Welfare, Sri Maharshi Valmiki Scheduled Tribe Development Corporation, Mysuru City and Taluk Nayaka Community organisations have jointly organised Sri Maharshi Valmiki Jayanti celebration on Oct.7 at 12.30 pm at Kalamandira in the city.

In the presence of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Union Minister  Steel and Heavy Industries H.D. Kumaraswamy, District Minister Dr. H.C. Mahadevappa will inaugurate the function and Chamaraja MLA K. Harishgowda will preside.

Members of Parliament Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar and Sunil Bose, all the legislators and chairmen of State owned Boards and Corporations will participate in Jayanti function.

Dr. Rangaswamy, Asst. Professor, KSOU will deliver the main speech at the function.
