The Department of School Education (PU), Mysuru District, conducted District-level sports events recently. Students of Vijaya Vittala PU College, Saraswathipuram, have won many medals — in boxing event (under 75-kg category) S. Dheeraj Patel has won gold medal; in Girls Karate (under 52-kg category) V. Keerthana was awarded gold medal; in Boys Karate event Prajwal Swamy won silver medal in under 70-kg category and S. Daivik won silver medal in under 50-kg category.
