TJS George cremated with full State honours

Bengaluru: The funeral of Padma Bhushan recipient and stalwart of Indian journalism, TJS George was held with full State honours at the Hebbal electric crematorium in Bengaluru yesterday.

Chief Minister Siddaramaiah visited the crematorium to pay his last respects. As a mark of State tributes, the mortal remains of TJS George were draped in the Tricolour. Police personnel offered ceremonial honours with a three-round gun salute.

Several dignitaries, including the head of Public TV H.R. Ranganath, attended the funeral and paid homage to the revered journalist.
