Provide Govt. jobs: Students protest at Manasagangothri

Mysuru, Oct. 18 (MK&BS)- Demanding the Central and State Government to issue appointment letters to various posts, the students staged a protest in front of Clock Tower, Manasagangothri campus in city yesterday.

Hundreds of students, who staged protest, raised slogans against Central and State Government. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had assured to provide 2 crore jobs per year, but has so far succeeded in creating 20 lakh jobs, even after completing 11 years in office. With this, the Prime Minister had taken the students and unemployed youths for a ride, the protesters alleged.

Similarly, State Government is organising Job Melas in association with private companies, but is not considering any Government jobs, the protesters alleged further.

Former President of Mysore University Researchers Association Shivashankar, students Pradeep Mummadi, Vishwa Prasad, Puneeth Alanahalli, Krishna, Gowtham, Ramya, Sneha Jaya, Mamatha and others took part in the protest.
