Mysuru, Oct. 19- South Western Railway (SWR), Mysuru Division, inaugurated a dedicated ‘Project Ayushman Nursing Room’ at Platform No. 2 of Mysuru Railway Station in coordination with Ladies Circle India under Area-13, Mysore Amity Ladies Circle-108 (MALC-108).
The initiative aims to provide a comfortable and private space for mothers and children, enhancing passenger convenience and care facilities at the Station.
The facility was inaugurated by MP Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar in the presence of Mudit Mittal, Divisional Railway Manager (DRM), Mysuru, Shammas Hameed, Additional Divisional Railway Manager, Cr. K.S. Nagashree, Area-13 Chairperson for Ladies Circle India, Namratha Shenoy, Past National President, Ladies Circle India, Nisha Darshan, Chairperson, MALC-108 and other senior officials.
This initiative underscores Mysuru Division’s ongoing efforts to improve passenger amenities and ensure a pleasant travel experience for all.
The newly inaugurated Nursing Room provides a safe, hygienic and soothing environment for mothers to care for their infants while waiting for trains.
Speaking on the occasion, the dignitaries appreciated the collaboration between Indian Railways and social organisations in implementing projects that contribute to public welfare.
‘Project Ayushman’ initiative represents a small yet meaningful step towards creating a more caring, inclusive and passenger-friendly railway environment.
