Mysuru, Oct. 26 – Dr. S. Jyothilakshmi from Centre for Inclusive Growth and Development, Mysore has been awarded a Research Fellowship by Karnataka Arebhashe Literature and Culture Academy.

According to Director of National Centre for Inclusive Growth and Development Research Trust, Vinayakanagar here, Jyothilakshmi, will conduct a study titled ‘Struggles and Challenges of First Generation Employed Arebhashe speaking women.” The research will be carried out across Mysuru, Kodagu and Dakshina Kannada districts.

The primary objective of this study is to document social, culture and familial barriers faced by first-generation women of arebhashe speaking community and to identify the positive impacts on younger generation.

Dr. Jyothilakshmi, has PhD in Economics from KSOU in 2024. She researched under the guidance of Dr. Shivakumaraswamy.
