Woman, son electrocuted

Hunsur: A woman and her son died of electrocution when they were working in their agricultural field at Mookanahalli village in the taluk yesterday evening.

The deceased have been identified as Neelamma (38) and her son Harish (19) of Yemmekoppal.

At about 5.45 pm yesterday, the two were working in their field, when they came in contact with the metal wire supporting the electric pole in their field and were immediately electrocuted.

Hunsur Town Inspector Santosh Kashyap and staff, who rushed to the spot, conducted mahazar, registered a case and shifted the bodies to MMC&RI mortuary in Mysuru, where post-mortem was conducted and the bodies were handed over to family members this afternoon.’
