Mysuru:  The National Institute of Engineering (NIE) and GSSS Institute of Engineering & Technology for Women (GSSSIETW) emerged winners in VTU Inter-Collegiate Mysuru Division Badminton Championship – 2025 in the men’s and women’s category respectively.

The championship was organised by the Department of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, NIE, at NIE Diamond Jubilee Indoor Sports Complex in city recently.

In the men’s finals, NIE, Mysuru beat VVCE, Mysuru  (3-2) and in the women’s category GSSSIETW overcame VVCE (2-0). Earlier, the championship was inaugurated by Capt. H.N. Shankaranarayana, retired Physical Education Director, NIE.

NIE Vice-Principal Dr. K.C Manjunath, Department of Civil Engineering HoD Dr. Balaji, NIE PE Director R. Kavya, GEC Kushalnagar PE Director Dr. Ramesh and others were present at the prize distribution.
