‘Driving inclusive growth for industries in Mysuru region’

Mysore/Mysuru: The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Mysuru Zone, held an exclusive interaction with Sanjay Swarup, Chairman & Managing Director, Container Corporation of India Ltd. (CONCOR), accompanied by the organisation’s top leadership from across the country.

The session was a platform for dialogue between CONCOR and local industry to explore ways to strengthen logistics infrastructure, streamline supply chains and enhance trade facilitation for industries in and around Mysuru.

The discussions focused on critical areas such as customs clearance, domestic and EXIM logistics and the warehousing and operational facilities at the Inland Container Depot (ICD), Kadakola. The meeting also reviewed the current status of ICD Kadakola and the opportunities it presents for improving connectivity to major ports and industrial corridors. Industry participants highlighted the need for expediting operational readiness of the facility to support exports from the Mysuru region, reduce logistics costs and improve turnaround times for MSMEs and large enterprises alike.

Commenting on the session, Sanjay Swarup said, “Our goal is to provide total logistics solutions — cost-effective, efficient and sustainable — supported by strong first-mile and last-mile connectivity, modern warehousing and technology-driven systems that enable industry to access national and global markets with greater ease.”

He appreciated the proactive engagement from CII Mysuru and assured that CONCOR remains committed to partnering with industries to unlock full potential of Kadakola ICD and other logistics assets across the region.

Nagaraja Gargeshwari, Chairman, CII Mysuru, reaffirmed CII’s commitment to enabling sustainable and competitive growth for MSMEs through improved infrastructure, digital adoption and policy advocacy. He emphasised that enhanced logistics capabilities are central to achieving higher productivity, lower supply chain costs and increased global market access for regional industries. The interaction concluded with CII and CONCOR expressing strong intent to work together in strengthening multimodal logistics networks, expanding warehousing capacity and driving inclusive growth for industries in the Mysuru region.
