24-hour hackathon at VVCE from tomorrow

Mysore/Mysuru: The Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Vidyavardhaka College of Engineering (VVCE), Gokulam, will be organising HACKKSHETRA 2.0, a 24-hour hackathon on Nov.14 and 15 at H. Kempegowda Indoor Sports Complex in its Campus at 10 am.

The event will be inaugurated by chief guest Rajneesh Sharma, Centre Head of Incture Technologies, Bengaluru.

More than 400 teams from various engineering colleges in the State had registered for the hackathon and a total of 65 teams were shortlisted. 

As the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has declared 2025 as the Year of Artificial Intelligence, reaffirming its commitment to accelerating the adoption of Artificial Intelligence across the higher and technical education ecosystem, this event aims to encourage young innovators to develop AI-driven solutions across key domains such as AI for Agriculture, Education, Health and IoT.

The teams will be judged by a panel of jury members with expertise in AI from various industries and the winning teams will be awarded with cash prizes.

Gundappa Gowda, President, Vidyavardhaka Sangha (VVS), will preside. Hanumantrao Kulkarni, Senior Manager,  Learning and Development at Incture Technologies, Bengaluru, P. Vishwanath, Secretary, VVS, B. Sadashive Gowda, Principal, VVCE and Shobha Shankar, Vice-Principal, will be the guests of honour.

M.R. Pooja, Professor and Head, Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Paramesha, Janhavi and Arun Kumar, Hackathon Coordinators and faculty members of CSE Department will be present.
